So here's a post-Thanksgiving reflective thought, on a more serious note. I should have posted this before the holiday so you could think about this as you gave thanks, but ever the slacker, I'm doing this on Tuesday after the fact.Anyway, as you celebrate Thanksgiving (and future Thanksgivings and the like), remember that there was one who died so that you could enjoy Thanksgiving Day. This is true not just of Thanksgiving Day either, you should remind yourself throughout the year, of the one that made your happiness possible. I don't know what his name was, or if he had one, or if was even a he, but that turkey gave up everything, man. Or that pig, or that cow, or even fish, whatever you happen to eat. (So maybe it wasn't so serious. Surprised? I thought not.)
This reminds me of a quote from Claire, that said something to the effect of "I thank God for chickens. They provide us with their eggs. They provide us with their bodies too."
